The Georgia Muslim Voter Project (GAMVP) is a non-partisan, non-profit (501c3) organization created to increase political participation among Muslim Americans and educate our communities about the importance of voting. The mission of GAMVP is to educate Muslims in Georgia to register to vote, show up to the polls, and increase voter turnout in elections through voter education, registration drives, and grassroots organizing. We believe that in order to cultivate lifelong voters, we truly need to engage voters in every local, state, and national election. We envision an active, engaged American Muslim voting bloc, capable of upholding the equitable rights of American Muslims.

Project Overview: 2025 Interim Voter Engagement Manager
Timeline: 16 weeks, from July 21, 2025 through November 10, 2025
Project Background:The Georgia Muslim Voter Project (GAMVP) seeks anInterim Voter Engagement Managerto lead and coordinate its nonpartisan voter registration (VR) and Get-Out-the-Vote (GOTV) efforts across Georgia during the 2025 Election season, while the full-time Voter Engagement Manager is on parental leave. The Interim Voter Engagement Manager will oversee GAMVP’s Field and Outreach campaigns, including managing the voter registration program, GOTV campaigns, managing and supervising a team of Field Organizers, coordinating shifts, and planning major voter engagement events. This interim position will be integral in ensuring the continuity and success of GAMVP’s voter engagement work during a high-impact statewide election.
Project Goals:
Program Oversight & Implementation
Lead day-to-day coordination of voter registration and GOTV campaigns in alignment with GAMVP’s broader goals.
Support the planning and execution of voter engagement events and initiatives, including community outreach programs.
Oversee production of outreach scripts and resources, including those for special election or issue-based mobilization if applicable.
Represent GAMVP in relevant coalition meetings and partner conversations related to voter engagement.
Staff Supervision & Support
Directly supervise the part-time Field Organizing team.
Provide daily support through scheduling, shift approval, goal-setting, and troubleshooting.
Conduct team and individual check-ins to monitor progress and promote staff development.
Ensure compliance with organizational protocols and support onboarding of any new part-time staff or volunteers during the engagement period
Field Coordination & Outreach
Oversee planning, staffing, and implementation of voter registration and GOTV outreach activities, including events, tabling, canvassing, and digital outreach.
Support field team participation at community institutions such as masjids, campuses, and festivals.
Maintain systems to track outreach locations, follow-up, and relationship-building efforts across key constituencies.
Data and Systems Management
Manage data tracking systems and tools, including VAN, MiniVAN, GetThru (ThruText/ThruTalk), and internal outreach trackers.
Monitor data collection, ensure quality control, and produce timely reports assessing progress to goal.
Provide technical support to staff and volunteers using campaign systems.
Cross-Team & Campaign Support
Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency across programming, communications, and field strategy.
Assist with internal reporting, documentation, and strategic adjustments in real time.
Ensure campaign and field activities remain mission-aligned, nonpartisan, and culturally competent.
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in civic engagement, voter outreach, or grassroots organizing.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams and coordinate complex field programs.
Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in campaign tools such as VAN, GetThru, and Google Suite.
Cultural competency and experience working with diverse Muslim communities preferred.
Personal commitment to advancing GAMVP’s mission, vision, and values.
Position Structure
This is a contracted, full-time role requiring approximately 35–40 hours per week over a 3.5-month period. The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a hybrid/remote structure and required in-state availability expected for key events. The range of compensation for this role is $4,800 - $5,800 a month based on qualifications and experience.
