Federal Offices

These are offices that serve in the United States government, like U.S. Senators and U.S. House of Representatives.

Impact: National Laws, Wars, and Federal Taxes

    • Serve a 6-year term

    • Represents the entire state in D.C. They confirm Supreme Court justices and high-level officials, vote on federal laws, and manage the federal budget.

    • Not all senators are up for election this term.

    • Serve a 2-year term

    • Represents your specific district. They are the primary drivers of federal spending (infrastructure, social programs) and tax law. Determines where your tax dollars go.

    • All representatives are up for election this term.

Statewide executive offices
